These terms set out how you can use Digimon Generation, an independent fan site built around the Digimon games, anime and card game. By browsing the site you agree to them, so please read them once before you dig into the guides.
What Digimon Generation is
Digimon Generation is a fan-made resource. We publish guides, evolution charts, Digimon profiles, game comparisons and opinion pieces for information and commentary. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Bandai Namco, Toei Animation, or any other company that owns or licenses the Digimon brand.
Nothing here is an official source. If you need a definitive answer on a rule, a drop rate or a release date, the publisher’s own materials take precedence over anything we write.
Digimon names, artwork and screenshots
Digimon, the Digimon logo, character names, designs, artwork, game screenshots, anime stills and card images belong to Bandai Namco, Toei Animation and their respective licensors. They are used on this site for the purpose of identification, commentary, criticism and review only.
A few points that follow from that:
- We do not claim ownership of any Digimon intellectual property.
- Screenshots and artwork appear at the size and quantity needed to illustrate a point, not as a gallery or substitute for the original work.
- If a rights holder wants specific material removed or credited differently, the fastest route is to reach us through the contact details published on the site. We act on legitimate requests promptly.
Any original text, charts, tables and layouts created by Digimon Generation are our own work. You can quote short passages with a credit and a link back, but please do not republish whole articles or scrape the site.
Game data can go out of date
A large part of this site is numbers: stat growth, evolution requirements, memory costs, digivolution conditions, card text, patch notes. These are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing, and we check them against the game where we can.
Games change. Balance patches, DLC, reprints, errata and regional differences can all make a figure wrong without warning. We update pages as we find changes, but we cannot promise that every table on the site reflects the current build of every game at every moment.
So, plainly: all game data is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. If you are making an important decision, such as building a competitive deck, grinding for a specific evolution, or spending real money on an in-game purchase, confirm the details in the game itself or in the publisher’s official notes first. We are not responsible for losses or wasted time caused by outdated or incorrect information on this site.
Links to other sites
We link out to official publisher pages, wikis, community tools, storefronts and video content when it helps the reader. Those sites are run by other people. We do not control their content, their privacy practices or their availability, and a link does not mean we endorse everything on the destination.
Check the terms and privacy policy of any external site you visit through a link here. If a link is broken or points somewhere it should not, let us know and we will fix or remove it.
Acceptable use
You are welcome to read, share and discuss anything on Digimon Generation. What you may not do:
- Copy, mirror or scrape the site’s content for republication, including automated bulk downloads.
- Use the site to distribute malware, phishing links or anything that could harm other visitors.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or any associated accounts.
- Post abusive, harassing, hateful or illegal material in any comment or submission feature we may offer.
- Misrepresent yourself as a member of the site, or as a representative of Bandai Namco, Toei Animation or any licensor, in connection with the site.
If you break these rules we can block your access without notice.
Comments and reader submissions
If the site offers comments, corrections or submission forms, anything you send us is treated as non-confidential. By submitting it you give Digimon Generation a non-exclusive right to publish, edit and use it on the site. You keep ownership of your own words. Do not send material that belongs to someone else unless you have permission to share it.
Corrections to game data are especially welcome. If you spot a wrong figure, tell us where you checked it so we can verify before updating.
No professional advice
Articles about trading, selling or valuing physical Digimon cards, or about spending on digital content, are opinion and general information. They are not financial advice. Card prices move, and what counts as a good deal depends on your own circumstances.
Limitation of liability
Digimon Generation is provided free of charge and on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, from reliance on its content, or from any external site reached through it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Privacy
How we handle any data collected through the site, such as analytics or form submissions, is described in our privacy policy. That policy forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows, as the games we cover change, or as the law requires. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top or bottom of the page shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms, takedown requests from rights holders, and reports of broken links or incorrect data can all be sent through the contact details published on the site.
